I could not more highly recommend John Paul and La Costa Music Academy. He is our daughter's third music teacher. JP has taken her abilities up several levels in a short amount of time. He is super-friendly, professional, and good at clearly delivering lessons. Within months, our daughter was singing and playing at the same time. In less than a year, she's writing her own songs.

Matthew B.August 2026 Rebecca E.August 2026 I have been taking in-home piano lessons with John from La Costa Music Academy and the lessons have far surpassed my expectations. I am in my 40s, no prior music training. I am learning so much, very quickly and I feel empowered to play beautiful music. John is patient, plus I appreciate having the accountability and the corrections (versus trying to learn online.) It has been an exciting, fulfilling journey. Great for my mind and soul. Worth every penny!!
Nikki G.August 2026 John Paul is a really great, very professional teacher. He works with all levels from beginners to pros and understands how to break down everything into learnable pieces. He is well rounded so he can teach multiple genres and will cater to the student's abilities and interests. And he always makes it fun and interesting. I highly recommend La Costa Music Academy!
