Reviews for SparkEd Academy

My little cousin desperately needed guidance with her AP courses. She worked with a few different instructors at SparkEd to cover the various courses, and all of them were amazing! They showed so much care and were definitely knowledgeable in their subjects. My cousin loved working with them so much that she also got help from SparkEd on her college application essays... and she ended up getting acceptances to a handful of schools that we thought would be out of her reach! Definitely recommend them for any academic needs.

We signed up with SparkEd & Stephen for our son's SAT prep. I have nothing but good things to say about the professionalism, thoroughness in teaching and consistent feedback with accountability that they provided. We needed structure and guidance for our junior, which he certainly got in spades with SparkEd. We are also very satisfied with his performance on his SAT - consistent practice tests and feedback to improve in specific areas very much helped my son do better. I highly recommend Stephen and SparkEd for your tutoring needs.

We hired a tutor from SparkEd to help our daughter with her college application essays. Most importantly, the tutor helped her understand expectations and write with her own voice. Ms Lee went above and beyond, making herself available on a short notice several times when deadlines were getting closer, sometimes even on holidays, and always giving great professional feedback promptly. Our daughter ended up being able to send well-crafted application essays to a double-digit number of colleges, well before their deadlines, avoiding stressful last-minute rush, and by Christmas a few acceptance letters had already started trickling in. We are still in January but she already has some good choices. A very positive experience.

We've worked with Stephen at SparkEd Academy for many years now. He's reinforced my son's math skills, through everything from hypothetical investments, to test preparation and avid discussion to solve math problems. He's also a real mentor and has helped with decisions around focus of study and increasing motivation. SparkEd also has super writing tutors, too, most recently Kyle (!), who has helped translate verbal acumen and critical thinking onto the page through solid techniques and argumentation based on rigorous discussion and debate. Thank you, SparkEd, for your kindness, precision, smarts, patience, and humor to get through our milestones and hurdles. True role models! Unsure what we'd do without you.
