Superpowers is the best music program in the Pasadena Area. Bob is a great instructor for kids and adults alike; I started guitar lessons with Bob as a 23 year old and he has been an amazing teacher in my 2 years working with him. He explains basic technique clearly and makes sure his students are understanding the material at each step. Bob works closely with his students to ensure they're getting exactly what they want out of their lessons, and he is open to learning any kind of genre that his students have interest in. I cannot recommend Superpowers Music Academy enough! If you're looking for a music instructor for yourself or you kids, look no further. Bob is a wonderful guitar teacher, and although I can't speak from experience on their Bass, Vocals, Piano or Ukulele programs, if they're anything like the guitar instruction, you're in great hands.

We offer music lessons in Pasadena and Los Feliz for Guitar, Piano, Ukulele, and Voice. The elements of music and skills to play are within your grasp… Our style of instruction can connect with students of every age, and we teach underlying techniques to make progress satisfying and fun. Private lessons are paced for each student’s interest. Get instrument lessons which give you a great general knowledge of music, and you get to playing songs you like, sooner. In this way I found Superpowers Music Academy and Bob Boulding, a professional musican formerly with the Little Dubliners. I take bass lessons from Bob, but I know he also teaches guitar and has associates who handle piano and voice. I'm not very talented but Bob, through a combination of patience and mastery, has managed to develop what's available in me. Combining structure and creativity I learn new material and techniques virtually every week. The structure provides a framework for steady progress; the creativity involves the use of material that matches my persaonal interests. Combining both, Bob has managed to stoke my enthusiasm and guiding my development. If you're interested in learning or improving your bass or guitar skills, give Bob a call. He'll also help guide you if your intersted in piano or voice lessons.
